The Friends of Cleveland Bands group is a non-profit organization providing support for the CHS band program through volunteer service and financial assistance. To achieve this goal, it takes many dedicated volunteers, all working together as a team, throughout the year.
Mission Statement
The mission of Friends of Cleveland High School Bands is to support the band program by:
- Building a community of students and families within the band program.
- Providing opportunities to increase the skill level and musical growth of all players by bringing outside musicians and teachers into the classroom.
- Supplementing limited district resources for the purchase of instruments and sheet music.
- Supporting live performances of the Pep band, Marching band, Jazz band, large ensembles, and other student groups.
- Providing band students with the opportunity to travel as a group to enrich their overall high school experience.
- Celebrating the band experience.

- Participate and be active in your child’s life in the last few years you have with them before they leave the nest. It goes faster than you think!
- Get to know the other kids your kids are spending their time with.
- Connect with the community and meet some other great parent volunteers.
- Connect with the director and other school staff. Teaching and parenting go hand in hand. It is always a good thing to build relationships with your child’s teachers.
- Have fun while helping the band at the same time. There are countless large and small ways to help!
