The Future Warrior Concert is Wednesday, January 10th at 7:00 pm. Performances by: Concert Band and Jazz Ensemble, as well as Sellwood and Hosford advanced bands.
With the addition of a combined number at the end, Concert Band members must arrive by 6:10pm for a short rehearsal with the Sellwood and Hosford bands.
Mark your calendars for Monday, January 8th at 6:30pm. We’ll be meeting in the band room. Topics are likely to include fundraising for the 2025 Spring Trip and more!

A few students have asked about the 2025 Spring trip to LA who had not registered, but wanted to know if they could still do so now.
The short answer is YES!
The current price for 75 students is $1779 per student. They do offer a payment plan, if you prefer. If we have more students participate, the cost goes down, and the company will offer a couple options for the overpayment (meal vouchers, reduce the amount of the last payment, etc).
If you choose to register, the company will put you on a waiting list, and notify Mr. Riler.
he would then approve the registration and you will be on board.
We currently have 75 students committed and registered for the trip, so there is plenty of room for a few more.

The Cleveland Bands are excited to be back at it and will be presenting our Winter Concert on our originally scheduled date of Tuesday, 12/5 at 7:00pm. We’ll be filling the auditorium with the delightful sounds of Holiday music and more! Admission is free, but make sure to bring some cash for our famous bake sale fundraiser!

Our Winter Concert will be on Tuesday, December 5th and the Bake Sale will be back! We still need a few folks to help serve on the front lines. The sale will take place BEFORE and AFTER the concert, so don’t worry, you won’t have to miss out on anything! Click here to sign up!
As students begin to develop into musicians at the high school level, an important part of their training can be private instruction. Mr. Riler recommends private instruction for any student who has a desire to improve and perform on their instrument.
Private instruction can be leveraged for students in any situation.

If you are interested in starting lessons for your student musicians but have questions, please feel free to contact Mr. Riler via email. Teachers with an asterisks by their name are those that Mr. Riler would highly recommend based on what he has witnessed, or in some cases, because of testimonials from other colleagues.
Chamber Music starts up this week, after the concert. This is one of the most important activities we do all year to help students improve and become more independent musicians.
