Our band program includes Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Concert Band, Percussion Tech, Jazz Ensemble, Jazz Lab, Pep Band, and Marching Band. Musicians at every level, from beginners to advanced, will find our music program fun and challenging.

Thank you to the many parent volunteers who helped support the 50+ student volunteers in making the Solo & Ensemble a success!! Spring Festival Concert & Bake Sale – Volunteer Opportunity!
Our Spring Festival Concert is on Wednesday, March 11 at 7:00pm in the auditorium and the Bake Sale will be happening! Please sign-up to donate delicious goodies and help serve on the front line. The sale will take place before and after the concert. Thank you for donating your time and baked goods!
Festival Chaperones Needed
Baking isn’t your thing? No problem! We need nine volunteers to accompany Wind Ensemble (March 10th and 13th), Symphonic Band (March 12th) and Concert Band (March 12th) to 3 festivals the week of March 9th. Details and the sign-up can be found here.

Wind Ensemble – Second Evening Rehearsal March 9th
The second Wind Ensemble evening rehearsal is Monday March 9th at 6:30pm.
FOCB Board Meeting March 9th
The FOCB Board will be meeting at the same time – please note the changed venue to the Choir Room next door!
Festival Week!
We have a week full of festival performances coming up! Wind Ensemble will be performing at the OSU Band Contest on March 10th, and later that week at the MHCC Band Contest (Chaperones needed!)
Then, our Symphonic and Concert bands will be performing on the 12th at the PIL JV Band Festival at Lincoln (Chaperones needed!)

Volunteer Background Checks
Planning to volunteer with our band program? If you might have unsupervised contact with students (including as a field trip chaperone), PPS requires volunteers to complete a background check at https://www.pps.net/volunteer.
This quick process only needs to be completed once every three years and you may have already completed it if you have volunteered elsewhere in Portland Public Schools.
